Some ladies were trying to take this picture, but their camera fogged up on them. I happened to be walking up to use the same spot for my portraits, so I took it for them and emailed it to them.

I like this one the best, but I don't like her foot behind the barrier

These are nice overall - my main comment would be to pay close attention to the background. This background is not working that well for me in shots 1, 3 and 7 in particular.

Watch for the placement of objects behind the subjects' heads even if those objects are 1-30 meters away. Busier backgrounds are distractions even when the eyes look good.
Speaking about the eyes...eyes look too soft in 4. It's especially noticeable because they are closer to us.

Hope that may help and good on you for putting yourself out there!

A nice even lighting and good poses. A couple are a bit bright for my taste and might benefit from dropping 1/2 to 1 stop. Although there is nothing you can do about the bamboo background due to its proximity to the subject, I do find them a bit distracting. Keeping that same f stop but moving the subjects further away would help blur the green sticks. It may or may not be what you were after but it would help keep the eyes on the faces.

Marko makes a great point about backgrounds. With that lens, I'd back up some more and zoom in and try it at f4.0 or f5.6. This will compress the backgound and put it out of focus. Just because you have a 2.8 lens doesn't mean it looks great at 2.8. Often the less expensive lenses like the Tamron and Sigma don't look great at the extremes.

You've already picked up on the barrier being in the way, the trick is to pick it up before you press the shutter ;)
