Vancouver - Burrard Inlet

This is one of my latest photos of the Burrard Inlet in Vancouver.

Looks like a lovely peaceful spot that you have captured well. It is a little hard for me to critique as I would like to see it a little larger to properly appreciate it. My first thought is that I would like to see a little more detail in those foreground rocks, but as I say it is a bit hard to tell at this size. Sorry that isnt much help.

I agree with RM - hard to give a good critique with an image this small.

Just as a suggestion - Feel free to repost it at 800 px wide or 1000 px wide - many members use those sizes.

Looks like a nice image though at first glance!

Thanks for the initial feedback.
I see what you mean about the details in the rocks. I can work to remove the shadows and expose more detail.

I see what you mean about the details in the rocks. I can work to remove the shadows and expose more detail.
Actually I like the shadows in this and wouldn't suggest opening up the shadows at all. The harsh sun demands harsh shadows, take those away and your photo becomes less real to me. The shadows help to contrast the cool lighting hitting the rocks, water and buildings.

I can't say I find the overall scene compelling to me, but the light gives interest.

I'd remove that lens flare on the water as it's more distraction than interest in this case.

Also, were it mine, I'd remove all those elements below the log so the bottom section of this image was all in shadow.
