I found this image I took awhile back. It's one of those photos you kinda like but never really knew if you'd have a use for it.
It's not quite sharp but seems to work against the heavy sky I thought.
It wasn't taken or converted to b/w ... this is just how it came out.
I know there's a bit of dust showing there ... haven't quite got the time on my hands yet to bother cloning that out.

I very much like the simplicity of the graphic element in this shot...but as you've pointed out it's soft, too soft imo for it to be a keeper the way it is. :twocents:

If I could remember where it was I'd go and take it again ... but I really have no idea! In the mangroves I think??
I think it might work if I applied an etheral glow to make it look purposefully blurred perhaps?

What about if you really ramp up the contrast and have the tree pure black and the background white?

that looks cool. would be a great shot if the whole tree were included, with a wide black & white matt & frame...
