We went to a local rodeo and caught a little of the action. Was a lot of fun and we were able to get clear shooting right at the fence.

.....and how "NOT" to dismount a bucking bronc. This poor bugger got hung up for twenty looooong seconds . Right arm probably a little longer now.

Amazing and so sharp! Love #1 the best because it has no distractions and love the dirt flying behind the horses hooves! Great job!

Fantastic shot and clarity! Second one for me too.
I am eager to hear the answer for Marko's question? Did you use flash for these shots?

Thank you all very much for the kind compliments.:o It was def a lot of fun shooting this.
As for the PP, I don't really know what to say. No real recipe per se', as I usually just wing it in LR is all, until I see what I like. I will jump back and forth on adjustments until I see the balance I like is all. I do like to keep the sharpening tight and the contrast and clarity high to make the subject pop. On this particular shot the clarity is only at +18, sharpening +48, and contrast +40, along with a lightening of the shadows.
There was no flash used in any shots as I would not dare try that with these performance animals, which could endanger someones life.

All awesome, but no 1 has got to be one of the best rodeo/cowboy shots I've ever seen
