Caves Beach is well known for its namesake - a network of sea caves at the southern end of the beach, which can be explored at low tide. It's found at the southern most end of the city of Newcastle, NSW region near Swansea.

I'm kinda behind, because I'm in and out lately. How's life?

Well ... ok now. Our travelling dream died awhile back when our business took a dive. The upside is both my wife and I got work at the same company. We work in the same office, and as graphic designer and copy writer, I get to play with images and photos and write all day so I enjoy that. Life has been very busy though, especially living in a caravan ... but that will change over the next week hopefully as we have sold the c'van and are moving into a townhouse/unit in the heart of the city we live in. Re-focused ... and ready to cruise on as usual.

What is it they say? Life is what happens while you're busy making plans? Sounds like that one's true.

Yeh it is. Our business struggling before we left and we'd hoped we could drum up more business in our travels ... too little .. too late. Still we had an awesome holiday for several months, and now live in an area that suits us better climatically, with plenty of interesting places to see, and we have good jobs we really do enjoy. One chapter closed, another opened.
Soon I might even have more time to take and process photos soon, and heaven forbid ... spend more time on photography.ca. We'll see ;)

Great stuff MA! You seem to get to the best places. The first is awesome especially the added flash and liking that last one too!

Beautiful MA. Again I struggle to find a fav. All so perfectly composed and the lighting is to die for. Thanks for sharing.
Glad to hear things have turned for the better for you and yours also.

Thank you AB, HBG and Bambi. :) I like light painting.

Bambi ... no. We are now living in Newcastle, NSW ... about 2 hours drive north of Sydney.

Great shots MA. As others have said the colours are super, you really controlled the flash well , and I love the footprints in the sand. I think 1 & 3 are my favourites where there is more detail in the rock.

Thanks RM. Actually no flash used in any of these. I used LED lights to paint in the detail I needed. The footprints were mine :)

Everyone is really excited over number one of this excellent set, however, I'm leaning more towards number two where you are little closer to the footprints and the light is peeking around the corner of the rock.
