Here is an estate that the City owns and will be booking for weddings and banquets starting next spring.

Beautiful! Love the view from the pond. I have a complaint that has nothing to do with photography though and that is the wrapping of the chairs like mummies. Also those table toppers look like wrinkled garbage bags. But that is the wedding planner not the house. Otherwise, a lovely place to have a wedding. :)

Thanks JAS. I was originally only going to post the view from the pond, but decided to add the other pics for context. A week before these pictures, the place was a construction site with all the hoarding up. It was temporarily opened for the provincial Doors Open event so perhaps this is not the way it will be when the banquets, etc happen starting in the spring 2014. There will be no mummies and garbage bags.

It is now closed off again, I guess so they can prepare for the first booking in the spring. I'll see if I can sneak back in next year and see what progress has been done.
