An excellent set as usual, MA. I like seeing the colour coming back after the devastation.

Thank you Iggy, Q1 and Yisehaq :)

Nope... nature will always win sooner or later ;D

It's amazing how quickly it starts to recover again. That first shot is particularly effective and well composed IMHO. The dried leaves that have blown in on the charred ground gives this an interesting colour contrast. What is the orange/red on the trees? I cant recall having seen that before. I lived in the area of the 2 Ash Wednesday bush-fires in SA 20 odd years ago and after that everything was black

Thanks RM. I'm not sure why some trees are charred black and others are that nice orange colour. Guessing they are a different gum tree with something special about the sap which resists the fire? Interestingly though, those bright red leaves were prominent up on the charred trees, but not evident on the orange ones.

You really captured the resilience of nature here, MA.

Great set of images to show the aftermath. My favourite is number 1. As Casil said it has a real eerie feel to it. It's a shame what damage bush fires leave, but as you can already see it will eventually come back.

Thanks asnow. Our bush actually needs fires once in awhile they say... it encourages new growth and the forest often comes back better than before.

terrific set. Like everyone, I really like the first one. I agree that the fire does a service as well.

All part of nature... lit by mother herself... unfortunately these ones were lit by wankers. :(

Really likin' that first one MA.

It always saddens me to see the destruction wrought by fire, (especially if by human stupidity), but on another note, there is such beauty in the resurrection of life in the aftermath.
