I am just wondering what members think about an ongoing thread, or even a new category for "Tips and Tricks".

To explain what I mean, I often come across a new technique or little gem of wisdom that I think may be worth sharing with others, but normally doesn't warrant a new post. These tips may relate to technique, gear, processing or even things such posing. There are often multiple ways to achieve the same result in post processing, but if we discover a new or effective way of doing something we could share it with others. These tips may be trivial or more involved. They may be obvious to some but may came a a "lightbulb moment" or "why didn't I think of that" for others

Perhaps I can illustrate with an example I recently discovered.

Get some adhesive velcro tape. Put a strip on the leg of your tripod, and the opposing strip on the back of your remote shutter release. By doing this you can attach the remote to the leg of the tripod and it wont have to hang and swing during long exposures or while using you hands for other things.

Fabulous suggestion! Consider it done.

The only thing I would suggest is that the title should be crystal clear and as succinct as possible.

Gimme 8 minutes.
