Ladye Bay, Clevedon in Somerset (yes with the Pier in the distance!).

As always comments (and critiques) welcome.

It is a great shot but it seems a little flat. There is some lost detail in the rocks/cliffs

You state you don't mind people editing your images, so I did a quick bump. I actually made two more copies, darker and lighter, and made a faux HDR. I couldn't bring the detail out of the cliffs.

Quite a contrast between the 2 images. I like the steel greys of the first one - I think what it mostly needs is a bit of contrast in the rocks. They have that washed out, lightened look. I like the way the water looks; the softness in color adds to the mood.

Lovely image taffy!
At's edit makes the scene look more dramatic, but I prefer the softness and muted tones of the original.

In the original shot the only thing that bugs me a wee bit is the brightish medium sized rock (surrounded by water and a few other rocks) at bottom left corner.
My eye keeps going to it and so I'd likely burn it by 25-30%.

Yeah, maybe. It seems to balance things the way it is now, though. I think it's a wonderful photograph, Taffy. Can't say I'd change it in any way.

Lovely comp Taffy with perfect timing on the wave rolling in. I really like the original as it look as if there is a mist hanging in the air.
Nicely done.
