On November 29, 1864, a band of 700 members of the Colorado Territory militia savagely mutilated and killed hundreds of Cheyenne and Arapahoe villagers, most of them women and children. This scene in the sand made me think of how it might have looked on the eve of the Sand Creek Massacre -- serene, yet with a sense of foreboding.

I quite like this one as well, not convinced about the title though. I think (not sure) my eye wants to see sharper vertical markings in the lower half of the image. Colour palette is Fab.

I'm quite sure I see teepees and hence the title. Found photography is sometimes wonderful(as seen here), but better to leave home with an idea of what you hope to accomplish.
