I think its the colors that really make this photograph for me. That's not to say that all the pieces don't fit together nicely, because they do. One can imagine the conversation and admire the cut of their clothing. Trying to decipher the details hidden in your ICM is always a treat. In the end though, it was the colors that drew me in.

Wonderful photograph, Marko.

Really love this Marko. I could stare at it all day. Perfect composition in my opinion

I love the shape of the woman's coat. The colour & tones are super and as Jason commented on Facebook the light from the cellphone on the woman's face sets this off. The dark left framing, the lines of the path, the lighting and ICM all work together really well IMO

PS I wrote this before seeing Barefoots comment above. So it looks like we are on the same page in loving the colour.

I concur exactly with what Barefoot said. Love the colours and the flare of the coat. The phone adds a pop of colour. Very impressionistic. A modern take of Fin de Siècle style at the end of the 19th century.

Thanks for that piece of insight Jas!!!!!
I had paintings in that style, both in my own living room (when growing up) and in the livingrooms of both grandparents.
Maybe that's why I'm so super attracted to this style...trying to relive youth or something.
Say how much you charge an hour for this therapy stuff? lol.

I think everyone else has pretty well covered it. Colors drew me in. I keep expecting rectangular shapes to the sides, and they refuse to cooperate. It works, and my half concious desire fills in the rectangles, which works, too.

Yes def. the colour, and the flare of the coat really draw you in. The line-work in regards to the snow vs the walk really balances well here also. Frames the women and leads the eye very nicely. Well done again Marko.
