In the southern part of the United States, the period surrounding America’s Civil War is called by many different names. Some of them include:
Mr. Lincoln's War
The War for States' Rights
The War of Secession
The War Against Northern Aggression
The Confederate War
The War of the North and South
The War Between the States
The Lost Cause
My favorite has always been “The Late Unpleasantness” Here’s a shot I got at the 15th annual re-enactment of the Battle of Aiken fought in February of 1865.

These are awesome too. I think they would look really cool with some textures laid in to mimic old photos. Not to say they need any treatment but it would be fun to play:)

I like the treatment you are using on all of these. Is it an Ethereal Glow filter?

No, it's the Duotone Dream I told you about a few weeks ago. Works pretty good on period scenes like these. Maybe I should try a little vignetting?

Yes it does work well. Not sure vignetting would improve any of them or not.

Thanks, that means a lot to me coming from you. I admire your work, even though I seldom say it.

I was tidying things up a bit, and thought I’d post a few more before I tucked them away.

Love the aged photo treatment. My fave is the one with the horses. Kinda reminded me of Dutesco's Wild Horses of Sable Island.
Barefoot, I love these. I like the young soldier. He seems to look at the camera with same wariness I could image a young man of his age heading off on his first campaign.
