A Few Winter Animals

The city opened the local animal park for a weekend a couple of weeks back to see if there would be any interest in it this time of year....the place was packed. Went out for a bit a took a few pics with the xsi....something I have not done in a while. Still a great little camera. It was a nice sunny day hangin in around -15 or so and the animals were pretty much all just laying around soaking up some sun.

The bobcats seem to be enjoying the sun. Nicely controlled exposure in shot 2.

Lovely set - really dig the fox. It's got a pretty strong blue cast though. I'd remove some of it (but not all) if it were mine.

Thanks everyone! It was nice to see them in there winter coats.
Marko...I see what you mean on the blue cast. I don't know how I missed it because on second look it seems to be there in all of them to some extent.....brain fart? Here is a repost of the fox looking much better, all I did was change the white balance to shade.

I really like the exposure of the Arctic Fox, white on white. I suppose the blue cast comes from the reflection of the sky on a clear sunny day?

Nice series and the fox is my fav as well. I detest blue casts, so I would be more aggressive with it and remove all the blue cast.

I have to agree w/mike on the repost. Although it is better, it is still seriously blue. A major correction is still required here to my eye.
Compare it to the last fox image you posted. Notice how the snow at the lower portion of that image (and all other images in the set) are mostly white.
Snow is white to our brain. If it has a hint of a blue cast it adds coolness and that's cool :)
But too much of a blue cast, imo, draws unnecessary attention to itself.
