The spring run of rainbow trout is in full swing at the moment. Due to the cold weather it has taken a while to get going, but now that we have seen a few days in a row of nice weather they are really flying. Here is a few random favs.

What a really cool series... I think this is the first time I've seen such excellent photos of fish on the forum.

Gives a whole new meaning to "flying fish". I can't decide which I like best. Like Iggy says, they're excellent.

Perfectly sharp. I can see good anticipation to catch the right moment.

Thanks a lot everyone. Yes, its a matter of picking a spot and staying focused (mentally and with camera) and being quick on the shutter. The more fish that are jumping the easier it is, not only because it increases the chances that you will get a good one but also because it keeps your mind on task. When there is lulls in the action for several minutes, that's when you will miss the shot.

All amazing shots with some extreme detail Mike, but #6 is the winner for me.

I can only echo what the others have said... nice timing and sharpness. Very cool.
