I agree the #3 for me was the best too.

Thanks for the comments folks

Looks like a clean sweep for #3. I would agree, but I was drawn to the mottled light in #1 (it is almost straight out of camera except for a minor levels play) .

Nope. Number 2 for me. I love those cards. They remind me of New Orleans somehow. They look much better on the black background over at flickr. The forum here does not do them justice.

Thanks JAS, I am glad you were drawn to the look of the cards - it was the retro look of the cards that attracted me to this shot

I liked the second one as well, specifically for the cards.

#3 for me also. Just the dof used seems to really make this work with the lines/patterns.

I like them all for the wonderful patterns but my eyes are drawn to the clean lines of number 3 as a favourite. Very cool set.

Delicious textures and linearity. Please tell me whoever set these up glued them together so I don't feel so inept--I don't think I'd make it to the second level.

One thing that I might have changed might have been light: I'd have liked a little more atmosphere and mystery which could have been accomplished via a directional especially hard light off-axis.

They were set up as an exhibit in an art gallery, so yes they were glued together. It also meant I couldn't do much with the light, particularly when I had limited angles the avoid the cluttered background
