These are some shots from our holiday at Jenolan last week.

This is the road as you get your first glimpse of the Grand Arch (a cavernous tunnel with cave entrances within) before you drive into it, and the Carlotta Arch high above the Jenolan Caves.

As usual, a really well put together set! My fave here is shot 3 and the thinking in your comps shows more and more.

Nice set mate. I really like shot 3 & 5 here, but the road into the rock in shot one is really cool. Did you go into the caves?

Thanks man. Yeh we did two different caves tours. I got really sick with the flu the day before we left so I wasn't fit to do as much as we'd planned though. Still... an awesome place to go.

My impression is that's a really big arch. Cool place.

I think it's roughly about 20 metres across so definitely a decent size.

Awesome set, but REALLY likin' #1 as it shows the scale in size, and #5 really has some beautiful depth.

Another great getaway you've taken me on MA! Really liking the sense of scale in #2 and the view in #5. What do I see hanging in the arch in #2 though?

The arch is a remnant. It was once part of a big cave that has long since long leaving only the arch now. What you see are remnants of some of the stalactites that would have been well inside the cave at some point millions of moons ago.

That must be a fun drive through the rocks. I like #3 for the leading lines of the stairs and #5 for as HBG said the depth.

It is a fun drive for sure. My other thread The Grand Arch gives you an idea of that.
