View Full Version : Well, at least I saw the lunar eclipse

The forecast was mostly cloudy. This is as light as the cloud cover ever got.

This was much more typical of the night, if the moon was visible at all.

Part way in to the beginning of the eclipse.

And just after the full eclipse. I hadn't expected to get this at all. The clouds had moved in and parked, with nothing visible since the time of the 3rd photo. I got a break in them long enough to get this, then they moved back in, this time for good.

Best I can say about these is it proves I was awake and saw the eclipse, even if I did watch a portion of it on Stellarium instead (nifty program, and it changed the moon's color and everything)

We were both up together then! :) Stellarium is a great program - I use it to control my Celestron telescope. I was a bit luckier than you as the clouds cleared up just long enough for me to get some shots.
