Cool set. Some of those guys in post # 3 are really getting into it

Yea, that last band was really into it. This was on the main street in the small town of Orangeville. By the time I got to the last group it was getting dark and the street lights there don't give a lot of light. Tried upping the ISO to 2000 but was still only getting maybe 1/20 sec at f2.8. These guys were just a blur at that speed. I quickly resorted to the pop-up flash on the camera. Not the best light but at least I got the pictures.

There was also an awesome display of custom cars. Maybe a couple of hundred of them lined up for a couple of blocks. The only lens I had was the 70-200 f2.8 which I rented. This was simply too long a lens to get any decent shots of the cars with the number of people around.. I didn't feel like wasting time walking the kilometer back to my car to get a wide angle lens as I had maybe only a couple of hours before it got dark. Planned to get there earlier but had to wait for my girlfriend and her friend to get ready (well guys, you know how frustrating that is). I would just have to concentrate on the bands. Here is the only shot of the cars I tried and you can see why I gave up trying. If I go back next year I will make sure I have the appropriate lens with me (and go by myself)

Great set! The guy with the hair is awesome. Reminds me a bit of Tom Wilson of Blackie and the Rodeo King's, but his hair is not so long any more. :)
