Hesci all,
My name is Lindin, and I hail from Olathe Kansas. I am a new DSLR owner...
I have used film for many years and always wanted to be a better photographer, so I read a bunch and listened to podcasts (that is how I found ya'all). Then I purchased a nikon d5300 thereby solidifying my adventure in digital photography! Wow, I love the instant gratification of a DSLR... No more waiting for days just to see a picture.. (Welcome to the 21 century... Hehe) well, I hope that my learning curve will be sharp and long lived...
Thanks in advance for the advice and help that I am sure I will need...

The best advice I can give is to get out there and make photographs. The more you deliberately photograph, the better you'll get.
