I'm finding that this assignment takes too long for most people (including myself - I'm so bad)....and there were no march submissions.

Should we scrap this assignment??

If a fresh perspective from a newer member is worth anything every time I looked at that word assignment I kinda rolled my eyes- in my mind the only way to do it properly isn't like a photograph of writing on a blackboard or in the snow. It's putting together a collage- that'd take me half a day at least! If it was letters only, maybe something like the A to Z thread that's running elsewhere, that would be different.

Just a thought..why don't we make this months "Word" assignement something like where you have to take photos 30 feet from your outside door (main door of apt- you know what I mean) and you have to take 5 photos and do what you want with them but all from standing in the same spot? I'd suggest taking more but that would just be rediculous posting..lol!

Just a thought..

I'm a little confused...I thought the assignment this March was to photograph wind...not the actual word wind. I saw all the other submissions and it seems they all photographed just wind and not the actual word also. Maybe I'm thinking that there were 2 assignments...?

My personal opinion is that maybe it should just be one assignment. Then again I really like the A to Z thread in the off topic forum also...maybe we could replace that with the other?

Just my :twocents:

Oh and are we going with "portraits" for April?

There was actually two assignments. One is to photograph a March theme which was "Wind" in March. The other is to photograph a word by finding patterns that look like letters in your photography. That assignment was also set to "Wind" but I generally suck at those and kinda forgot about it as it seems most people did.

weighing in here - beside myself, and a few others at times, this assignment thread rarely gets submissions... this is a thread that can be done away with as little is contributed. If those of us who do contribute get the bug to create a word, we can always submit it else wear. This separate assignment thread is not needed. Plus, the newer members (it appears) don't understand what we are doing here any way. So, there you go, my :twocents: worth. :)
