There were rumours floating around that my hunting road had been washed out, so I was forced to take an investigative trip to the bush. Good news is that it is NOT washed out, and it is LOADED with wildlife (not all that I can hunt). Not the best for lighting with a largely overcast sky.
Moose #1 at 10:30am

Keeping an Eagle eye on me as I snapped some shots:

Finally Moose#2 at 15:45 - I believe this is the same moose as moose #1 as it was in the same little pond as the one I snapped going in at 10:30...same bone structure too. I had much better lighting for this one as well since the clouds started to breakup during the day.

Nice closeups of the moose. I hope you weren't as close as the pictures indicate

Hehe...I was about 10 yards away....in my truck with a 200-500mm lens. Nice thing is that there was no cropping to do :)

Hi Randitola,

In examining these images... 3/5 images are not in focus and this is due to your shutter speed being too slow. (I peeked at the exif data).

1/focal length of the lens is the minimum shutter speed you should be using so at 500mm....it should be 1/500. at 350mm it should be 1/350 etc.
Every shot in this series uses what (imo) is a too slow shutter speed.

Hope that may help
