6th Annual Photography.ca Photo Swap

Wow! That time of year again. It's time for the 6th Annual Photography.ca Photo Swap.

Here's how it works. Everyone and anyone who is interested will put their name in the virtual hat by saying "I want to swap!" in this thread. On November 21, 2014 I'll stir up all the names in the hat and pull out photo swappers. Each member who joins in will receive the name and mailing address of another member to which they are to send a printed photograph (8x10 or 8x12). In previous years we chose a photograph that we felt was our best image of the year or a photograph that had a special meaning for us in some other way. I say we continue with that choice of theme but I'm always open for new ideas.

So, who's up for a photo swap??

I'll start out: "I want to swap!" Who will be the first to join me?

Q1: Is this open to international members?
A1: Absolutely, everyone is welcome to join in.

Q2: Do I post my address here?
A2: Nope! Only give your mailing address to the individual that is selected to send you a print.

Ok, no one has posted what they received on the swap yet.

So I will start it with a funny story...

I received an image in the mail and was thinking it was the swap image. The person who is sending me one pm's me about the swap. I tell him it came and tell him how great the image is, it was a lot like one of Marko's images. He was confused because he had t mailed it yet.

I forgot Marko sent me one for Christmas.

I am the proud owner of a Marko original!!!

Loved Marko's print and it's hanging in a place of honour in my "studio" room to inspire me. I sent a photo and an explanatory note to Hillbillygirl but didn't hear back from her if she received it. In fact, she hasn't posted on the forum since so I hope everything is okay with her.
