See, I didn't asked for nothing few months ago, you can calibrate your monitor :D

PC monitors, or Apple as well ?

PC and Mac...and the apple cinema display is not great as a photo monitor (apparently) so it too can definately benefit from regular calibration.

I know that those are very good on movie industry. I used to work for a film studious, back in Europe, and the guy was doing color correction an 50" HD Apple display.

Thanks for this interview it was really invaluable! I use a Huey calibration hardware and a not pro monitor, from on now I will be editing my pictures on sRGB space instead of adobergb, so I guess my monitor will be able to mimic the color I will have when my stuff is printed.

It was actually quite timely as at exactly the moment it turned up in iTunes I was struggling with trying to get the profile and save for web stuff in Photoshop to output the correct colours, rather than colour shifting all the time, based on the monitor profiles, proofing setup and web colour spaces, colour-managed and non-colour-managed browsers. (I think I've finally got to the root of this, thankfully.)

I'm getting a bit fed up with how hit and miss my monitors are and having to guess all the time, so I'm off to get a monitor calibration system at last. Thanks for the final push... ;)

It's amazing we ever get anything to look decent at all - you've got the raw image, how it's displayed in Photoshop with the proofing colour options, how that actually looks because of the current monitor profile and gamma settings, and how it's displayed on the web and print with different colour spaces, and then the profile of the printer and media it's going onto.
