Pretty cool Jim, Wonderful sense of perspective here! Geeeeez that's some huge vs small scale.
Please excuse my ignorance on this but is the salt white? If it is, my only comment might be to dodge it quite a bit. If not, I'm just a city boy, lol.

Appreciate comments Marko. When I converted to b&w I darkened the ship's hull a bit, and then dodged the ship's white superstructure a bit, but didn't touch the salt hills. The salt isn't pure white, there are actually black particles in it, it's about right in the photo. But I agree, if I make a print I will "whiten" them a bit.
