Okay. I am just excited - I just ordered my Nikkor 70-200 2.8 G with VR. Anyone have experience with it, I have never read a bad thing about it?

i have the canon counter part - loooovvveee the lens! i am sure you will too! if it is anything like the canon - your wrists will get a work out! the thing is very heavy!

Just got a new carbon monopod too... and a new ball head... I read that one of the biggest drawbacks was the weight.

A great lens; you'll be very happy with it. I get a LOT of use out of mine.
