Well if GregL can do it then so can I ;)

We went for an early morning cruise on the road bikes today so I dragged my P&S along as I often do. Only THIS time I actually pulled the thing out and used it.

The following few posts will show a few of the sights we saw on our little cruise.

As we left right on Sunrise a bunch of Corella's cheered us away ...

This a DSLR shot I took of these birds at Christmas ...

Here's a shot I took while riding of my wife and a mate. Tough as you ride to compose.

A Great Egret. This bird is always on this bridge somewhere getting fed by fishermen's scraps. I must come back with the DSLR!

Another shot while riding ... not a birds eye view ;)

And finally we are back, packed and ready to rack ... off

I like the next to last one shot over the bars. Those converging lines are cool. Doesn’t that van have a steering wheel? ;)

You gave me a lot to work with there, but I'll leave it alone.

I most likely would have first touched on the “I think and it does” wondering how you manage to get it out of the driveway. :D

Think it's good I do actually have a steering wheel!! ;)

I think Canadians drive right hand drive vehicles like us and the English don't they? If I remember rightly Canada was left hand drive but changed the side of the road they drove on around 1967. Chevy used to make their cars inter-changeable for that reason.

Those are the coolest and most elaborite bike racks I've seen! Nothing like what we have in the states.

I really like the shot of the framed shaft of light too. Good eye.

us canadian drivers sit on the lefthand side of the car & keep to the righthand side of the road. i think that sounds right... or maybe left...

Ok ...so same as the Americans? Perhaps I got it back to front? Maybe you drove on the left side of the road (centre line passes your right shoulder) inthe 60's and then changed to match the Americans? Maybe it's just crap I've believed for most of my life and isn't accurate at all??

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left_hand_drive

Apparently, Canada was a mixed bag until the 1920s and Newfoundland (Canadian province) never switched over until 1947. The switch was made to better align with the US since they drove on the right-hand side. There is no really good reason though as to why particular countries picked one side or the other.

Thanks IG. I remember dashboard like the 57 Chev having a symmetrical design so that a steering conversion was easy to make and I thought I'd read or had been told it was due to the Canadian market. Perhaps it was for other markets.
