I thought I would share some of my favourite shots of my 2 younger boys from this past fall, with some of them being shot in Florida in November. I am hoping to get some more winter ones soon.

What a great set. I hope at least a couple of these are framed and on a wall at their house. I would have loved to have a photos like these hanging on my wall growing up. Is that the same field (#3) as in "Let it go..." (#2)?? The light there seems to be magical or is it just wonderful editing?

really well done again Mike.
What's really cool for me in your recent images mike is that faces are beautifully lit and look natural with backlight.....and seems to me like you aren't adding supplementary light.... it is being done in PP as you generously explained in a recent thread - is that correct?

Thanks Iggy. I have printed out some of those images and all of them were included in some photo books I had made for all of the grandparents and great grandparent this Christmas.

That is a different field. This field in this picture is just 500 meters away from me. After taking that picture I was pleasantly surprised to see what the bokeh looked like coming through those trees. I also love the rim light that happens on dried vegetation, it can be quite magical when backlit just right.

Thanks Marko, with all of these images in this thread there was very little PP done. All PP that was done was done in LR. In the other thread "let it go" there was some extra work done is PS with overlays, but the faces and such were not touched up very much at all. The last image in this thread required the most PP as I used some graduated and radial filters in LR but even at that it took very little time to process. A couple of years ago, I was using a fill flash, but have recently got away from that practice.

During the summer last year I transitioned to using fast primes (Canon 135mm F/2 and Sigma 35 F/1.4 Art) which I am loving and gotta admit I'm a little addicted to now.
