You have a super sharp image but you completely lost the right side of his face, it blends in with the background. I wouldn't have done the selective color, but that's just artist choice.

If you could just add a little definition to the right side of his face, I think you got it. I'm not 100% sure, but I think High Key should almost look like a pencil drawing.

After my reply above, I went back and looked at some High Key images. It looks like you nailed it. Losing the right side of his face is not a bad thing, many have this. Some even have it so high key, the eyes, nose, and mouth are the only thins visible.

You have a great image here.

Thanks you guys; I was bored again so I tried my hand on a self portrait. Sheet hung up in the basement, one strobe. Remote trigger for the camera. Sometimes it does make it tricky to frame yourself appropriately when you cannot look through the view finder. Then again, I could have hooked up the old "control my Nikon" thingy ... but that is like cheating ..

Nice job Matt....... although you could have got dressed first :headslap:. (I suppose we should be grateful that you didn't go with the wide angle, or make one of your signature panoramas)

I have just been having another look at this and wonder if some toning may enhance it even further. You could try a few random combination from PS gradient maps?? Just a thought.

I have you know I was wearing SHORTS .... sheeeeesh ..... but then again, food for thought. I have been inspired by Matt Blum of late, his nu-project (http://www.thenuproject.com/) is phenomenal ... just not many males in it .....

Actually for April Fools Day I toyed with the idea of creating a new thread titled "Nude self Portrait - warning extremely explicit" and then included a dead link. I thought better of it in the end.
