Between having adding a new daughter in March to the three boys and taking on a load of college classwork, have not had many chances to really get out and about. We did though jump on some free time recently and get out and enjoy some of the great weather. Here are a couple of sunsets that I was able to take in.

I usually skip this location for sunsets as it is highly popular with tourists and is photographed into the ground. We got caught up in some construction back up coming back home from dinner though and wound up coming by right at sunset, so I could not pass it up.

Best time to take a landscape in portrait orientation? Right after taking it in landscape orientation of coarse! Especially when the scene is as fluid as a Smoky Mountain sunset.

Sometimes the sunset is best at the begging of the show rather than at the usual peak time. This was one of those instances. Looking into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park from the Blue Ridge Parkway.

These are beautiful. I see the Blue and the Smoky parts. Glad to see you are posting again.

Firstly - Congrats on the new addition to the family.
Amazing scenes as usual Chris. Really like that second one with the fog/mist in the valley.

All three shots help to strengthen the Smokey Mountain name.

Thanks everyone! Hopefully one day we will be able to get out and enjoy it as much again!
