I would love to come up there for a couple days and shoot a couple World Cup games. Ever since my daughter got big into soccer, I watch it now. The match the other night (Brazil vs Korea), the stands were nearly empty. Seems like it wouldn't be too hard to get media passes to some of the matches.

I checked into maybe doing it, but you now need a passport to go to Canada from the U.S., and I don't have one.

BTW:

USA stomped the Aussies 3-1!!!!

I'm not so sure it would be that easy to get a media pass. For me there are no games in the Toronto area (I guess because of the Pan Am games) so no use in . The closest is Montreal, Ottawa
For some of us so far so good ....
MA and Runmonty - Nice job Australia knocking off Brazil.
AT - US plays Columbia in a few minutes. Expect to see them move on
Fellow Canadians - off to the quarter finals, even though their play has been just enough to move on. It's whether you win and not by how much.

A little tie in to the Canadian team to me, A. Chapman played for LSU, here in Baton Rouge. My daughter is doing a soccer camp this week at LSU, same coaches as Chapman's when she was in college.

By the look of the stands during the US vs Col tonight, it seems like a media pass would be pretty easy, the stands were half empty.

One thing I learned from "Fro Knows Photo", the best way to get access to an event is to ask. If I had a passport, I would have tried to get one, maybe rent one of the 400-1000mm bad boys.

Nice run Canada, I was pulling for you.

Got to give the Canadian team one thing, they had the prettiest ladies in the World Cup. That tall Barbie looking girl and Leon, they were smokin'!

I feel bad for Chapman, who played for LSU. She played her heart out.
