I recently travelled to Toronto on the "Canadian" and back. I totally recommend the train trip. It is as far from the madding crowd as you can be; no real time schedule, no phone for much of the trip just great food, scenery that is off the "beaten track" and time to relax. :)

There are a lot of cool abstracts in the Toronto towers. Yours is very well done. I've kind of gotten away from these. Must do some more next year.

Thanks, guys! Matt, the train trip from Edmonton is about 21/2 days. Via Rail does not own the railway, CN does, so the Via Rail train has to wait for the freight trains to pass. You are often frequently waiting on a side rail for half an hour or more. Hence, you need to have an expectation that the journey is "the journey" and just go with it. :)

this sounds actually very exciting .... something to put on the "bucket list" for retirement. Go East, stop over, rent a car, explore, train some more, stop over, rent a car, explore .... the more I think of it, the better it sounds ....

Sounds like quite an adventure, and a stress reliever at that.

This is such an amazing pic JAS. Absolutely love it. The symmetry, the colour, and the comp/perspective work perfect here.
