I'd like to start making a few photo books of different projects. I know we've had similar threads before but i know things change in this game.

Anyone have recent experience with (likely an online service of course) where to get good quality photo books made?

Thx!

On my recent Cuba workshop, the organizer Doug Kaye put together a photo book with pictures from the 10 participants.
He used Blurb and I'm quite happy with what was produced.

I'll be interested to see the answer to this as well... I might like to make one and it would be good to have some helpful reviews before investing the money.

I have used Photo Books, Wedding Cards, Travel Albums | Photobook Canada (http://www.photobookcanada.com/) You can spend a little or spend a lot depending on your choices.

I am sure you dont want to order from Australia, so I cant help you.

Just something to consider though. You may need to decide if you wish to use Lightroom to create the book, or if you wish to use the software that you download from the book company (or on-line). I suspect the that the software designed for the task will give you more opportunity to customise it and make the whole process easier and seamless.

It was easy to use. I used it to do a sample book for the Club, just to show layouts and photo spreads. We will actually do the final in indesign and send it to a publisher. But the Photobook Canada book itself was nice, the reproduced photos looked good and I had some full page, one and a half page spreads. I used a black background throughout and the photos really popped.
