It happened in New Orleans, right in front of the cathedral I photograph all the time. A ton of people standing around some show being shot with George Lopez. Everyone was taking pictures with phones and point & shoots. I walk up to grab one and one of the film crew started blocking me from shooting. I ask him what he is doing, and just step to the side and raise my camera for another shot. He then placed his hand in front of my lens, actually touching it. I was pretty pissed now and told him a few things i cannot repeat here. I threatened to beat his ass if he touched me or my camera again. I had to kind of keep my cool because I was carrying my pistol (always do in New Orleans), and I didn't want the cops to take it (pain in the butt to get back, if you do get it back). All this because I have "professional" equipment. I am tired of this term. You would think a film crew would know what I was carrying was not "professional" gear.

This whole time I was thinking, its George Lopez, no one gives a crap about him. He wishes the paparazzi would photograph him.

That sucks. Unfortunately, no amount of complaining can help. It all comes down to education and for some reason people celebrate being uneducated and wear it like a badge of honour.
