I really like this one, AT. I like the dark tone with the really bright lights in the middle. It reminds me of movie star's dressing room.

Really dig the processing here - this is an AWESOME location - worth exploring multiple times imo.

I'd love to see 1 person having coffee first thing in the morning.
This shot feels just a bit too busy with the standing girl and two young people in the foreground.

To me this is screaming 'boulevard of broken dreams'. Get just one or two old man(men) having coffee on one of the stools - zoom in 20%-25% more than here - catch his reflection in the mirror - crop the sides a bit. That's the image I'd shoot if this were mine.
So much mood here - love it.

Thanks Iggy and Marko. As for "Blvd of Broken Dreams", I had the same feeling when I processed it. I was going for kind of a NY subway coffee stand look. I'm not sure which artist I was thinking of when I saw this shot, but I was wanting the look you see in many street shots of people through windows at coffee shops.

If or when you come to New Orleans, I'll take you there.

When you mentioned reflection, I just looked again and realized I am in the shot.

I did take 4-5 shots of this scene, but things kept happening, the girls at the bar turned around and smiled, or I used my flash, making the people in the forground too bright (that's my daughter Maddy, in the bottom left corner.

I didn't even plan to shoot this location. I was in New Orleans with my wife, two other mothers, and six little girls. They went to a concert, so I shot the French Quarter while they were there. On our way home, we stopped here for coffee and beignets. I left my camera in th car, until one of the moms asked me to take some shots of them at the coffee shop.

As for the girl standing, it was intentional. I had a shot of her sitting at the bar just minutes earlier, but I waited for her to leave, because I wanted some motion in the image of some one walking.

I really like this concept. It definitely deserves exploring more times as Marko said.
