Now this is the environment I'm used to seeing. Looks like a swamp to me. Nothing like a brown forest and green water. I like the setting. The soft feel gives it a surreal feeling to it, but it would be nice to see the image without it. I have a feeling it might just be too much. Then again, the shadows wont be noticed as much either.

Missed this! At first glance I thought it was a golf green! Love the shadows!

The only thing I would do is maybe desaturate that green patch on the water in the mid-right of the image.

It’s from the old Guignard (gihn-yard) clay quarry not far from home. They once dug clay for the Guignard brick works in Columbia here back in the late 1800’s on into the early 1900’s. Almost 200 acres with a couple miles of trails around the pools of water left standing in the old clay pits.
