I have recently returned from the Glastonbury 2017 Festival. It is the largest Green field festival in the world. I took quite a number of photos just using my little Sony point and shoot. I had to carry in everything I needed for the 5 days I was there so needless to say weight is a big consideration. I will post a bunch of photos slowly but will start with this highly edited photo from the Circus Field:

These are great JAS. I love the flags if forced to choose a favourite.

What a wonderful experience. I am envious. (except for those portable toilets -based on previous experience of festivals I can imagine the smell)

Thanks, Runmonty! Yes the secret to the longdrops is don't look back! I camped with a private company just offsite. A little more convenient for someone travelling by plane. (A bit nicer too- for instance they had hot showers.) The flags everywhere are amazing. I have a bunch more photos still to post including the Tipi Village.

If you can not handle crowds, this is probably not the festival for you. I did not mind it for the most part although I did get caught in a crowd crush twice. Once right after Jeremy Corbin spoke at the pyramid stage.

The pyramid stage is huge and the pyramid arena has 9 huge speaker towers throughout the area.

All of the flags give a great carnival atmosphere. If you are reminded of middle ages jousting tournaments, it is no coincidence as this is home of the Arthurian Legends.

Some cool additions JAS Once again I really love the flags shots and the tents. Clever comp with the tents.

Oh and once again I am jealous after seeing the National there.

Actually I have just gone and looked at the line up, there were many acts I would have really loved to have seen.

Thanks, Runmonty! The big problem for me was that there were so many clashes and of course travel times between stages.I had to miss a few acts due to that. You have to choose a few you really want to see and fill in from there. Plus there is a lot going on besides the bands.
