Street entertainers in Paris

I'm enjoying the tour of Paris. These are nicely composed street shots with lots of detail. I'm puzzled why you converted so many of your photos to black and white. Is Paris that dreary?

Thanks MBrager, Marko. I did have an individual pictures of each of the men in shot two, however I chose the combined picture.
Actually for reference here are the individual pictures.

MBrager - NO Paris is not that dreary. Mind you there is not a lot of colour either. I generally think of street photography as usually in black and white. You tend to find something in colour that takes you attention away from the subject, such as a coloured garbage can, a person in a bright coloured shirt, etc. in the background. Where the colour is an integral part of the picture, then I will choose to post in colour. Some examples of this in my Paris posts are - Fashions - Woman in purple, Man in multi-colours, Red Goggles - Kid with the red goggles, Peace - Girl on the purple scooter and Yellow Citroen - The yellow makes this picture. Not saying I get it right every time, but that is my general mindset.
p.s. When I was in Cuba, everything is so colourful that most of my pictures were actually in colour.

That third shot really does redefine the meaning of street performer. Cant get much more street than that.

I like all of them but the first shot of the 2nd post is my favourite and is nominated in member's choice
