Parisians and their Dogs
I was told that Paris has the largest percentage of dog owners.

Fun set - Best connection in post 1 - is eyes to the camera.

Based on what you have said, I totally understand you choosing the one with the eyes to the camera. I need more practice in timing. Getting the shot when the person first notices you and has the eyes to the camera but before the point where they are now posing. I think that is what Henri Cartier-Bresson meant by the The Decisive Moment

If their eyes aren't toward the camera, then a big/large/medium gesture (like Cartier-Bresson's jumping over the puddle) can make an image great.
Shot 3 post 1 is ooozing Paris. I wish the guy looking at the camera with his dog were in that shot instead of the woman.
Had the woman's 'gesture' been emulating the painting, or doing something 'active', (versus looking down and not engaging with us, or the environment) the image would have been so much stronger.
The waiting/stalking is key and not everyone feels comfy doing it...we Canadians are sometimes too polite. harder for us, lol.
Hope that may help
