Rob, (I don't know if your name is Rob, I am just thinking Rob Zombie :) )

You take some unbelievable bird shots and I know this is your forte, but I am challenging you to get out of your comfort zone and do something different. I want to see something different from you, maybe street photography, landscape, or even abstract (I know you did a little with smoke a few weeks ago).

I love street photography, so that is my challenge to you.

Okay this took a while but I've decided to try and get a shot for my 500mm project at the same time. So all of these are still taken with my 500mm lens

Only one of these have made the cut but heres the progress.

Street.

Great shots, I like #2 here. If you wouldn't have cut off the guy's hand in #1, it probably would have been my favorite.

lovely set - really like shot 1 as well. The hand cut bothers AT more than me.
My fave though is the BW - wonderful tones and lines.

Thank you.

I was thinking of this thread when I was out yesterday shooting a bird downtown.

Then the sky got very angry and I saw this.

Cool shot but IMO, he is in the wrong position in the frame. I think it would have been stronger if he was on the left side of the frame, looking across the wet, miserable frame.

Great shot tho, nice BW

Edit***

After looking at it a little longer, I realized you would have lost the dog if he was further to the left.

Thank you.

I wish I had seen him before getting to where I was but there was no time to back up and get more scenery.

Strong and wonderfully catured BW. Lots of feeling here.

My only suggestion....I might chop the bottom 1 inch (there seems to be 2 'levels' of blurry snow which to me feels just a bit distracting...I'd chop just the first level only) if you're not against changing the original ratio.
hope that may help

I live in Canada not the arctic. lol

The two blurs, top one is the rain bouncing up off of the sidewalk. Bottom of the frame is the rain bouncing off of the water soaked grass.
