Holy Fire as seen from Fullerton CA a couple days ago. Six floors up in an office building.

From ABC: "The smoke from the California wildfires has not only been impacting the West Coast. Incredibly enough, it has reached New York City -- 3,000 miles away."

crazy fire. I like shot 1 here, but I'd lose the building at left edge, and open up the shadows if this were mine.

Thanks Marko! I did actually open the shadows a bit but didn't want to get too interpretive with what are more photojournalistic shots.

As for the building, I kept it for distance/framing and before-and-after comparison perspective. Again, not meant to be art shots ;-)

I have friends fighting the fires on the west coast and have been watching closely as well as the eruption on Hawai. Natrure is a b**ch sometimes. If you have already opened the shadows to any degree, then I'd have to say they were severly underexposed and you will have to do better for documentary work. The building needs to go, regardless.
