My favorite thing about this forum when I first joined was the great critiques. I learned a ton from them (both receiving and giving critiques).
Granted, I haven’t touched my camera but once since Italy due to and arm injury. I’m on vacation this week and plan to hit New Orleans in a couple days. The cool weather is finally here which means some great fog rolling through.

I am more than happy to oblige. I too like a robust discussion about the merits of a photo and am happy to pass my observations of what works for me and what may be considered for improvement. I think this is a great way to improve our photography (both giving and receiving critique)
Post away. I would suggest just one photo at a time though if you want a more detailed discussion.
In the meantime I would welcome a critique of this photo....http://www.photography.ca/Forums/show-your-photo-color-landscape-nature-flowers-mountains-storms-etc/24790-internal-monologue.html
Personally I am happy to receive brutal critique, but just remember not all members have as thick a skin as you and I.

yup the critique can be harsh....but please deliver it is a soft way.
An easy way is to suggest how you may have improved it... Versus belittling the image itself "This is a terrible image.......thre's this and this...." etc.
but ya....no reason to avoid giving a negative critique per se. (when people are up for it as indicated by preferences on the top right of every post)
It's how we learn.
