Ahh..I think this crazy canuck is heading for the nut house..common spring!!!

Rare to see one of these creatures out of its natural environment (The Tub) Though last summer I saw a lot of them (runaways mostly) at the local fairground:)

Gee wiz Kat, you were starting to make me worried. I thought I was heading to the nut house with you! Now that I'm seeing a rubber duck, there's no turning back now.

You know Kat ... I think we should all insist that you take another shot of the duck ... this time with 'feewing' (who remembers that movie?) instead of just a snapshot.
I'm tipping you could take a really cool shot of naked Donald there ;)

Ha ha.. good luck with taking that duck for too long! The kids were attacking me for it! :p

Actually I was practicing the Manual mode and how to get it with a shade and extreme window light with no highlights. Ha ha..yah. Then I thought of all you bird fans! :)

Any tips on how to practice that, pass them on!!!

Common jj, the more the merrier!!!

If necessary then HDR or manually merge two shots together. One exposed for highlights and one exposed for the shade.

Another way would be to diffuse the light source a little. Hang a white sheet up between the window and the subject for instance.
