Birthday Greeting, WW 1 Canon and Burgers

This scene caught my eye because of contrast and great differences of the objects within the frame. Any thoughts or comments?

viewing this after i posted it i see the quality is trashed due to the file compressing of the forum. but the subject matter hasn't changed any.

no need to apologize RM. I always appreciate your comments. From time to time i see something that is striking to me that i know will not have much interest to people in general. But I post them because these scenes are as much of what drives my photography as the ones that are generally accepted. I saw more in this than meets the eye. I guess I should just keep these types of images to my self because I'm probably the only individual alive that gets something out of it.

I appreciate your honesty and hope you always post what your hearts feelings are in what you see in my images. Thanks again for you comments.

I disagree with my Aussie friend....but we forgive each other because of the Commonwealth.
To be fair, I've seen work from you that has hit me harder, but I'm a big fan of this photograph.

For me the comp is spot on and well framed for sure!
I dig the interplay of signs and colours. Love seeing the Pickup truck with crossover vehicles, the Memorial hall with its message - It's a slice of America from this Canadian's eye! Totally dig it!

Please do not even think about keeping these to yourself. As you can see from Marko's comments, different things appeal to different people (and I think also change over time or with personal experience).

Some of my own photos that I like the most, are often not appreciated or liked by others.

If Picasso, Jackson Pollock, or even Andy Warhol stopped posting each time someone didn't "get" one of their paintings, then their instagram feed would have been very empty indeed.
