Since we are still stuck in the house, not getting out to shoot much, I figured let’s do a virtual gallery. You get to hang two pieces in this gallery that you took within the last ten years. I am talking about pieces you know the public would love, not just pieces that have the most meaning to you.

I’ll have to post mine tomorrow because I can’t do it from my phone

Some super shots there guys.

I will have a look at mine in the next couple of days.

Marko, your Nick Cave photo prompted me to comment (firstly, I remember this Nick Cave photo - I liked it then and still do now). I have always thought Nick Cave was OK, but I wasnt the biggest fan. However, the Ghosteen album from the end of last year was freakin' awesome. I have also recently been watching Peaky Blinders, and as a result of that, am becoming a big Nick Cave fan.

As a further aside, if anyone hasnt seen Peaky Blinders it is worth a look. If for nothing else, just for the stunning imagery. It is some of the best cinematography I can recall seeing.

Hard to pick two. But....

Old friends. These women are the mother and mother-in-law of one of my friends, who I've known most of my life and were friends with my parents. Their entire family in Calgary came to the studio in July 2018 for a photoshoot, including a 2 year old great-grandson and these women who are well in their 90s.

Boats at sunset after rain. I posted this in June 2014 and returned to edit it now. I remember it rained for several days prior, and suddenly there was a break and I drove down to the dock to see if there would be a pretty sunset. I only got the one shot of the boats, and all the rest were of the sky and water only.

I find having to select 2 photos as my “best” or “favourites” nearly impossible. These are not necessarily my favourites, nor the shots I am most proud of, nor the most popular but do tick a number of these boxes . These shots I like and they have also received a reasonable level of positive feedback. One a bit older and one from last year.

What would be interesting is for others to select the best 2 from our Flickr "showcase"

Start the topic and I’ll play. I know which one of yours is my favorite. I may have to dig back a ways to find it
