I've been taking this series of photos for about 7 years or so. It first started when I was unemployed and bored at home and started taking photos of the scale models I build attacking my brother's cat. Over the years this hobby has evolved for me and I've graduated from taking these pictures with my phone to using a Canon Rebel T6 and I've even managed to get some paid work here and there.

You can find my work at Army Men Around the House - Imagine what might happen if your home were invaded by legions of tiny little people. (http://armymenaroundthehouse.ca)

I've also started taking a series of Film Noir themed photos, since that genre peaked shortly after world war two, and there are a pretty good selection of 1:35 scale civilians for me to work with.

I've found lately for the noir stuff in particular that building scenery and using it much the way film sets would be built in the studio at the time to be a very practical approach.

First of all, welcome!!!
These photos are awesome and very creative (I checked out your website as well).
Ever think about expanding out to other toys? I think it would be cool to see a battle scene with these metal figures vs the old plastic green army men. Or get one of those old Marx Toys western sets

I've considered that, but I also feel that painting each figure myself is part of the process in getting these shots. It is something that has crossed my mind a few times though.

Welcome!
I like the thoughtfulness behind each one - lots of fun play with lights and shadows - placing each figure juuust right....each one is really well done and of course they work great as a set.
If I'm forced to choose faves....really like the cassette tape and the last image.
Thx for sharing them

About ten years ago or so, I collected toys, and one of my big collections was Hot Wheels. I would find old beat up Redlines and refurbish them. I started looking around the internet and found where people redo Hot Wheels, build elaborate dioramas, and photograph those, usually in tilt-shift
