Hello! I don’t remember if I wished everyone Happy New Year but.. Happy New Year! (again)
I shot this today along woth 30 others most of which didn’t make it unfortunately (rather 27) :)
I know it’s not special. Was wondering what are your thoughts on this one and if it even deserves its digital space on my devices.
By the way it’s about -10C in Montreal at the time of shooting this!
Thank you
Cheers!

The composition is quite good - reminds me of your 'Metro shot' and benches.
really dig the processing!
But...Not crazy about the Tim's cup as the main subject commanding so much attention.

Thanks Marko.
Right. Indeed the resemblance with the metro shot is very apparent in some ways!
I appreciate the critique, it really helps a lot.
Cheers!

I agree. The cup makes it look like Tim's commercial. It should have been a simpler object... Like a hat (or a mask). Don't think there would be a shot without one though.

rather than critique, I would like to offer a suggestion or two. Try a shot like this again, but instead - focus on the people on the street and the play of the lights behind and to the side. What initially drew my attention in the shot was the bokeh effect of the street and traffic lights, the person walking the dog gave the image some motion and the blur of the lights also gave it sense of time elapsed. Maybe try shooting next time from the bench down or other perspectives.
