Here is my second attempt. He seems to be lost in the moment.

I like it. Great use of active space (negative space typically used to show where a subject is looking or going or come from) also.

Looks a tad overexposed perhaps so maybe give it more punch with a bit more contrast.

Wow! must be my monitor, doesn't look the least bit underexposed to me. In fact most of the right side looks blown out. Nice photo, and nice looking young man!

It's a nice portrait. He justs pops off the page. I like the eyelash detail on the far eye. :)

Alright I tried to adjust the overblown sky on the right.

The sky looks much better all over! Nice photo now.

He looks like a quiet sort of kid.

Yes, great improvement, although something has changed on his nose. Maybe an accidental brush stroke or something?

The composition is great. I know how hard it can be to get these kinds of shots of kids. Mine either run away, pull funny faces or smile too much, so well done.

I like this shot too. :highfive:Ma's right, slightly overexposed. Shot 2 looks better than shot 1 but the boy can still use a bit more contrast IMO. The sky is fine.
I may have included another inch or 2 of the bottom of the jacket.

He is actually really good about pictures, he was posing for my wife so she could snap a few pictures and I snapped away on the side. It was nice to have him go back and forth between the two us.

He is only quiet when he is alone other than that he is quite the crazy nut.

Thanks for the comments guys once it stops raining I will go at it again.

He's a cute kid (reminds me of my nephew!). I think the comp is really good but like Marko said, probably would have added another inch or two on the bottom.

It's a great pic :)
