Okay, I dunno why it's so small. I linked it from flickr....Critique anyways? This was primarily an exercise in exposure and focusing, taken at my brother's wedding way back in December.
Let me have it :goodvibes
P.S. If you guys find it too small, I can just upload it directly from the laptop!

I think as an excercise in exposure and focusing you did a great job. In PP I might try a little dodging inside the ring to get the diamonds to shine a little more. Other than that I think you did a great job. The lines around the cloth are cool and kind of lead your eye right back to the ring, so I do not see much problem with it being centered.
I think it looks great.
My images from flickr seems to be the same size too.
Thanks for the feedback, guys. JJ, I'll keep that in mind and give it a shot. I thought they might be too dark.

Hello Gem - that's a fine sharp picture.
But maybe you should try a less overcoming background; a darker red perhaps and without a design? The stitchery is a bit distracting my eyes.

Ring is just overwhelmed by the red, I would have gone for Macro shot on the ring bringing it more into the forefront. Right now the Red Cloth just overwhelms what I would think was the centre piece of the Photo. Just my :twocents:

Agree with A.L. here - this is far better suited to a macro shot and the red is stealing the show.

Diamonds shine on white or black surfaces.
You guys are right, the red just drowns out the ring. I really like the colour though. Now that I look back on it, I don't know why I didn't do this as a macro shot....Anyways, thanks for the feedback. :goodvibes

When in Flickr you should be able to see a text link just above the photos called 'All Sizes' ... click that and your largest size you uploaded should show. Below that image is the url in a separate field ... copy that and use the image icon here to display.

to get some sparkle on the jewelry, try cutting a hole in the middle of a white 11x14 sheet of thick paper to fit your camera lens to get some reflections on the stones and metal.
and maybe come in closer.
