Now, I want to submit this as a print on my photo club.
The vignette is no off. What do you think ?

Thanks again for your help :)

I really like this shot.

The 14mm focal length and f13 aperture in conjunction with whereever you actually focused has delivered an amazing DOF and clarity in the details throughout the scene.

The gull adds a cool extra dimension of movement to an otherwise static scene.

The leading lines of the timber and railings just force the eye to walk through to the rear of the shot.

I think composition is good because there's enough interest in the sky but I reckon you could burn in some of those clouds for more dramatization to go with the rain that has recently passed by. It might help with some of that blown out section in the sky near the horizon. If you shot this in RAW then use the recovery slider in your editing software to get some of that blowout back perhaps. I think the choice of using shutter priority may have helped fool the camera or perhaps the dynamic range was just too much.

You could dodge some of the darker detail but personally I think it would ruin the heavy feel this shot has.

I think this rates easily as some of, if not then definitely, your best work I've seen or remember yet.

I'd nominate it but I'll wait and see if you do anything further to it first.

Lovin, I like it. The tones are wonderful. The bird is a nice touch. If you planned and waited for it, well done. I also like the great leading lines, a pity there is not a focal point at the end. The wet boards are certainly a bonus, adding some reflected light.

Thank you MA, Raiven, Antz ! :highfive:
Here it is with a dramatic sky, but not too dramatic.

Still, the left side of the sky is kind of bright, but was sooo bright before.
I think I should work on that sky again. hmmm...

i'd have to say a fantastic image however your horizon is off by like -.5 degrees and that can be very distracting! aside from that i love the wet wooded walk coupled with the seagul, the boats, and the houseing house thing. very natural and complete aesthetic here!

:highfive:

ps if i were you i'd go back there and cram in as many of those boats into one composition as i could. sort of abstract the idea of a marina or something. :twocents:

I like the sky work ... it's improving for sure Lovin.

You may have gone a touch too much with those clouds to the right though.

Perhaps you can gently clone over the bright spot a little?

Looks like it was a scene suitable for a nice HDR.

In the 3rd shot, my eye is getting slightly distracted by the clouds...IMO they seem to overpower the deck now. I like the 2nd one better, but perhaps pp'ing it somewhere b/w 2 and 3 might be the one you are looking for?
Awesome shot in any case Lovin! :)
