Please critique on the entire image but especially on the colour.

I like the composition on this, the squizzel profile works well. There is a very shallow depth of field here which causes the front of the tree to be blurred - I find this distracting. Also, the image looks a bit over-sharpened to me (although I'm guilty of this also - I'm trying to find the best place to be for web-sized versions).

I also find the colours a bit washed out here (although my Mac-gamma monitor profile doesn't help either).

I agree with Ben, great composition, but it does appear slightly over-sharpened (although this may be partly due to the wet fur, I'm not sure). On first glance the colour looks fine, but looking more carefully at the few blades of grass lower right, I think a slight saturation boost may be in order.
